Pop star, Wande Coal, has said he is open to criticism from fans and critics alike. Speaking with press men recently, Wande said even though people thought his career had died, good criticism from journalists kept him going.
“You know there was a time people said maybe my career had died all this things motivated me I like good criticism. All my friends they don’t suck up to me the say I think you are looking too black, that is what I like it’s not easy to cope with them.”
Wande who recently released his sophomore album titled Wanted, dismissed reports that he had stopped dancing and doing freestyle.
“The song I made in Ghana with R2Bees blew, that was my first time freestyle.”
He also said he does not charge for collaborations and explained why he did the collaboration with Pato Ranking.
“As long as your song is good. My woman my everything was free. Free song. Why I jump on that song was because it was beautiful when I heard the beat. One thing about me is that am very creative and a very funny guy whenever I hear beat I just start dancing. And whatever comes to my head am already creating that was how that song came about.”
The Asihmapeyin singer said he has not lost touch with Mushin adding that he still visits Mushin to hang out with his childhood friends.
“Mushin has always been my home I have to tell you that by 12:00 mid night I can drive to Mushin my grandma will open the door. I don’t have to call my friends that am around. It’s just for them to see my car, they will start coming to my house by 12 mid night. I dothat regularly.
“My family from my mum side is in Mushin. My grand mum she was the one I was with she practically paid my school fees so I hold it to her,” he said.
Meanwhile, both D’banj and Donjazzy have thrown their weight behind wande coal's new album. Wande coal, in an earlier report explained why it took him 6 years to release his sophomore album after release of his highly successful debut Mushin to Mo’Hit.
